Welcome to the Jaipur Metro

The Jaipur Metro opened on 3 June 2015 and was the first metro in India to run underground. Today its single Pink Line links 11 stations over about 12 km, from Mansarovar in the west to Badi Chaupar in the heart of the walled old city — gliding on an elevated viaduct across west Jaipur before diving underground beneath the historic bazaars. A second Orange Line (Phase 2) was approved in 2026 but is not yet built. Fares run from a low ₹10 (~$0.12), making the metro the quickest way to reach the City Palace, Hawa Mahal and Johari Bazaar.
