How fares work on the Jaipur Metro
The Jaipur Metro uses a distance / station-banded fare: the more stations you travel, the higher the fare, from ₹10 for 1–2 stations up to ₹30 for the full line. There are no zones.
You can pay two ways: a token for a single journey, bought at the counter or a ticket machine; or a rechargeable smart card (₹100 to buy: a ₹50 security deposit plus ₹50 of travel value) that takes exactly 10% off every trip and lets you tap straight through the gates. JMRC’s fare rules imply that children under 3 feet (about 90 cm) travel free with an adult; confirm at the station counter. Visitors can also buy unlimited-ride tourist cards (see below).

Single-journey fares by number of stations travelled, from JMRC’s fare notification in force since 31 January 2025. Smart-card (SV-1) fares are exactly 10% lower. Confirm the latest at jaipurmetrorail.in or a station counter.

The smart card
The JMRC smart card is the easiest way to ride often. Buy it at any station customer-care counter for ₹100 (a ₹50 security deposit plus ₹50 of travel value), then recharge it in multiples of ₹50.
Recharge at station counters, ticket vending machines or online at jaipurmetrosmartcard.in. The card gives a 10% discount on every fare and lets you tap in and out without queuing for a token.
For a single trip, a token works fine — buy it, tap in at the gate and drop it in the slot when you exit.
